Deconstructed Squash Necklace - Turquoise


Modernist artisan necklace inspired by the classic Navajo squash blossom necklace. Deconstructed of 10 "blossoms" and a crescent "naja" pendant fabricated of copper and kiln fired with multiple layers of enamel to achieve the color.  Each piece is fired a minimum of 4 times and has enamel on the front and back.

With 12 textured and domed sterling silver discs to simulate the beading typical of vintage squash blossom necklaces. Pendant is 2 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide.

Also in white and brass

With oxidized sterling silver cable chain and handcrafted clasp.  

Total length approx 22" long + pendant drop of 4".
